The Ekoin Temple at Ryogoku: Vintage Reproduction Print From Hiroshige's 100 Famous Views of Edo

This is a vintage reproduction offset woodblock print from famous Ukiyo-e artist Hiroshige and his 100 Famous views of Edo. Originally from a set dated from 1974 and produced by Kyodo News Agency in Tokyo. 

Print 6 The Ekoin Temple at Ryogoku: A distant view of Moto-Yanagibashi on the opposite bank of the Sumida River from the Ekoin Temple. Around 108,000 people perished in the great fire of 1657 in Edo; their remains were buried in the temple compounds. The temple was also known for the sumo wrestling tournaments held on its ground. 

Condition: Given age (46 years old), in great condition. Close up photos are provided to show any flaws as well as some of the subtle details Hiroshige added to his art.  Some faint discoloration at border edges and light specks on backside that aren't noticeable from front.

Dimensions: 9.75" Wide by 14.25" Height

Please note that the paper is thin but high quality and has some light texture to it (it looks and feels like traditional Japanese paper). The size isn't a standard frame size so it will need to be professionally framed to ensure protection and longevity. 

This will ship gently rolled up in a rigid cardboard tube.
