Shiba-Atagoyama: Vintage Reproduction Print From Hiroshige's 100 Famous Views of Edo
This is a vintage reproduction offset woodblock print from famous Ukiyo-e artist Hiroshige and his 100 Famous views of Edo. Originally from a set dated from 1974 and produced by Kyodo News Agency in Tokyo.
Print 22 Shiba-Atagoyama: This print is a sketch of a Buddhist function-the boiled rice eating contest. A messenger of the Bishamon God of Treasure is the master of the ceremony, pictured in this print. The sea off Shinagawa on Edo Bay is seen in the picture.
Condition: Given age (46 years old), in great condition. Close up photos are provided to show any flaws as well as some of the subtle details Hiroshige added to his art. Small mark at back of print, not visible from front.
Dimensions: 9.75" Wide by 14.25" Height
Please note that the paper is thin but high quality and has some light texture to it (it looks and feels like traditional Japanese paper). The size isn't a standard frame size so it will need to be professionally framed to ensure protection and longevity.
This will ship gently rolled up in a rigid cardboard tube.
