The Plum Orchard at Kamata: Vintage Reproduction Print From Hiroshige's 100 Famous Views of Edo
This is a vintage reproduction offset woodblock print from famous Ukiyo-e artist Hiroshige and his 100 Famous views of Edo. Originally from a set dated from 1974 and produced by Kyodo News Agency in Tokyo.
Print 28 The Plum Orchard at Kamata. Kamata villagers planted plum trees in their gardens and sold the fruits to Edo in the spring. Today, no traces remain of the plum orchard.
Condition: Given age (46 years old), in great condition. Close up photos are provided to show any flaws as well as some of the subtle details Hiroshige added to his art. Print is in great condition.
Dimensions: 9.75" Wide by 14.25" Height
Please note that the paper is thin but high quality and has some light texture to it (it looks and feels like traditional Japanese paper). The size isn't a standard frame size so it will need to be professionally framed to ensure protection and longevity.
This will ship gently rolled up in a rigid cardboard tube.
